This is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with high Chromium, Nickel, Molybdenum, and Copper. This composition gives it superior corrosion resistance to standard grades. Its key feature is outstanding resistance to strong reducing acids, notably sulfuric and phosphoric acids, along with excellent resistance to pitting and chloride stress corrosion cracking. Primary applications include equipment for acid production/processing, flue gas desulfurization (scrubbers), and piping in seawater environments.
