347 Stainless Steel Pipe is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel containing Niobium (Columbium) and Tantalum. This stabilization ties up carbon, making the material immune to intergranular corrosion (sensitization) when exposed to high temperatures (800℉-1500℉), especially after welding. It offers excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance. 347 pipe is critical for welded, heavy-gauge high-temperature service in aircraft exhaust manifolds, boiler and pressure vessel piping, and high-temperature chemical processing systems.
