Copper Bar & Profile
Oxygen-free copper rod
Oxygen-Free Copper Rod is solid bar stock made from Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC), typically corresponding to C10200 (≥99.95% Cu) or the purer C10100 (≥99.99% Cu). The very low oxygen content provides extremely high electrical and thermal conductivity (≥99.8% IACS) and, crucially, grants complete immunity to hydrogen embrittlement. This makes it superior to ETP copper for high-temperature joining. OFC rod is used in applications demanding the highest standards of performance and purity, including high-quality electrical conductors, vacuum components, high-efficiency heat sinks, and magnet wire where consistent conductivity and reliable brazing are essential.
