This extremely low carbon level provides superior ductility and formability, along with excellent weldability. It is the softest and most easily worked among common carbon steel strips. 10# coil/strip is typically used for applications requiring extensive cold working, such as deep drawing, complex stamping, and bending. It is widely used to manufacture automotive parts, appliance housings, non-critical structural components, containers, and specialized tubing where ease of manufacturing and a fine surface finish are key considerations.
